Everything You Need to Know Before Your Stay
Planning a stay at Surfin’ USA Galveston? Here are answers to some of the questions we get most often about the house, the beach, pets and your stay.
How close is the beach?
We’re just 9 houses from the beach on the water side of FM 3005! It’s an easy walk from the house, so you can go back and forth throughout the day.
How many people does the house sleep?
Surfin’ USA sleeps up to 11 guests with two king bedrooms, a bunk room and additional sleeping space in the living room.
What time is check-in and checkout?
Check-in is at 4:00 PM and checkout is at 11:00 AM.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes! We’re dog-friendly and love welcoming four-legged guests. Up to 2 dogs are allowed with a $100 pet fee per stay. Please inquire privately if you have more than 2 dogs!
Is the yard fenced?
Yes. The house has a large fenced yard, which makes traveling with dogs much easier.
Is there an outdoor shower?
Yes! There’s an outdoor shower that’s perfect for rinsing off after the beach.
We want packing for your Galveston getaway to be easy! Surfin’ USA is stocked with plenty of the basics, plus a few extras to make beach days and traveling with little ones easier.
🏖️ FOR THE BEACH
Beach wagon, beach chairs, beach towels and beach toys are provided for your use during your stay.
☕ IN THE KITCHEN
We have both a Keurig and a regular drip coffee maker. K-Cups, powdered creamer and sugar are provided. If you prefer the regular coffee maker, just bring your favorite ground coffee and filters.
You’ll also find a selection of cooking spices in the cabinet above the microwave. We don’t stock shared condiments for sanitary reasons.
🧴 BATH & LAUNDRY
Shampoo, conditioner, body wash and laundry detergent are provided, so you can leave a few things off your packing list!
👶 TRAVELING WITH LITTLE ONES?
A Pack ’n Play and high chair are available at the house for our youngest guests.
A few quick tips to help everything work smoothly during your stay!
👕 STARTING THE DRYER
The start button is touch-sensitive. Lightly rest your finger on the top of the Start button and it should start every time — no need to press hard.
🍿 MICROWAVE DOOR
The microwave door opens toward the refrigerator. Please don’t push the door all the way against the side of the refrigerator when opening it.
🚪 FRONT DOOR
When closing the front door, turn the handle and gently pull the door shut to make sure it closes and latches properly.
🍽️ DISHWASHER & KITCHEN DRAWER
The drawer immediately to the right of the dishwasher is a little tight on space. Lower the dishwasher door before opening the top drawer so the two don’t bump into each other.
