Colorful, funky and very Galveston. You'll find breakfast favorites, coffee and baked goods — and a huge menu if everyone wants something different.

Casual Galveston comfort food right across from the Gulf. A great pick for seafood, po'boys, burgers and plenty of Southern favorites.

Katie's Seafood House
One of our favorites for fresh Gulf seafood. Their seafood comes straight from local fishing boats, and the waterfront setting on Pier 19 makes it even better.

Doc Holliday's Roadhouse
A laid-back Seawall spot with a fun Old West vibe and a little bit of everything — burgers, steaks, seafood, tacos and more. Great when you're feeding a group that can't agree on what they want.

Nick's Kitchen & Beach Bar
One of our favorite happy-hour stops on the Seawall — especially if you're in the mood for oysters, cold drinks and a Gulf view.

Katie's Seafood House
Fresh seafood and cocktails overlooking the harbor make Katie's a great place to settle in for an afternoon drink.

Brick House Tavern + Tap
A good pick for discounted drinks and appetizers in a casual sports-bar atmosphere. Their current happy hour runs Monday–Friday, 3–6 PM.

West End Marina & Restaurants
One of our favorite spots when you want to slow down and enjoy the West End. Grab a table by the water, order some seafood and drinks, and settle into island time.

Jimmy's on the Pier
You can't get much closer to the Gulf than this! Jimmy's sits right over the water on the Galveston Fishing Pier with seafood, tacos, burgers and incredible Gulf views.

Tipsy Turtle Seaside Bar & Grill
A super-casual beachfront spot with seafood, sandwiches and tropical drinks. Great when you want to come straight from the beach and keep the beach-day vibe going.

The Spot
A classic Galveston Seawall stop with beachfront patios, burgers, seafood and drinks. An easy choice for a casual meal with a Gulf view.

Way West Grill & Pizzeria
A family-owned neighborhood spot that's perfect when you want an easy, casual meal without heading farther into town. Pizza, burgers and comfort food make this a great option for the whole group.

Venados Cantina
Our nearby pick for Tex-Mex, tacos, fajitas and margaritas. Casual, laid-back and a great choice when you're craving Mexican food close to home.

Seahorse Grill
A laid-back local spot with something for just about everyone — seafood, burgers, po'boys, pizza and more. Great for an easy lunch or dinner with the whole group.

La King’s Confectionery

A must when you’re exploring The Strand! Step back in time for homemade chocolates, saltwater taffy, ice cream and old-fashioned soda fountain treats. If they’re making taffy while you’re there, stick around and watch!

Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard

Perfect after a hot beach day! Grab an Italian ice, frozen custard or a gelati that layers the two together. Easy, casual and right on the Seawall.
